Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.

Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

+o is very easy.

nada gets eleven cells fairly straightforwardly with a couple of X’s
then puzzle seems to become too chainy with interactions of two long downs and 10A, 28A. Shortest I can find is a disproof of 34D=136789. Unless anyone else can overcome the chains?

nada, finishing is tough

+o. Couldn't get enough traction on nada.

I only saw one cross (9's in NOST), not sure where Aspie saw a 'couple' of crosses.

me, 9’s in NOST, then 8’s in FX to find P. Does depend on how strict is X-definition, was I being too sloppy?

Possibilities and orphans.

The 9-cross gives you F=8. Then Y=9, X=8, then P=8. Uniqueness rule gives you Q=7 and W,Z=56.

My chain was N=6 causes non-unique solution in ADJM, therefore N=9.

I'd say your 8's cross is more like an anti-cross, or a Y. lol

offset-cross perhaps lol

me, yes, agree. I wanted to call it something on those lines on reply, but didn’t come up with a suitable expression. The 8’s make an anti-cross in JKNO, good terminology.
