Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.
Other variations

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.

Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

nada was quite easy ....
24D=123567 combo
then 22A=679
since 37D=346789 or 256789, you know where the 25 or 24 are located and therefore 27A=13689. That gives nine cells solved.
now the key, there’s 13 in 27A so there can’t be a 13 pair opposite it in 10A (J,M). So one of (J,M) must be a 2, so K,L are not 2, and 6D must be 51 combo. And then easy.

nada, easy once you waste 7 minutes not seeing the obvious clue

I got the same nine cells Aspie did, but don't understand the bit about 'there's 13 in 27A so there can't be a 13 pair opposite it in 10A'.

Followed Aspie's clues and easy, well relatively

Willo, at the nine cell stage: 13 pair in 27A is in cells(T,W), and the opposing cells(J,M) in 10A=123. But J,M can’t be 13 because unique rule. The only way to not be a 13 pair is by using the 2. So the 2 is not available for K,L. Solved. If you believe in unique rule, but you don’t, so let’s find More...

scrap that D=4, it could also be 2, but not 13.

Aspie: As you surmise, I never allow myself to use the unique rule --- and if I did, I would never characterize the solution as 'nada'!!

Thanks for your alternative solutions. I actually had found both of these myself, though it took me longer than it might have taken you. There have been More...

Willo, I guess if there’s a unique rule fail then there is going to be an alternative solution based around the same cells and the same idea. I like your solutions too, often very creatve.

My solve path was similar to Aspie's and borrowed a couple of tips from Aspie, so NO nada
