Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.
Other variations

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.
  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

No quads needed (no possibilities either):

1) Fill in 15D, 12A, the rest of 38A, and B and C.

2) The two 21D's contain a total of four 1's and 2's. One of these is in 21A. At most two are in the quads and at most one is in 13A, and none are elsewhere. So there is a 1 or 2 in W or More...

are you talking about the right puzzle, willo?

there is no 21A

me: 21A was a 'typo' for 10A. But as for step one, I agree that more work is needed. This is the second time in a row I've published a 'solution' with a step that I can no longer justify. I hope this is just a coincidence and not a sign of things to come! In any event, I do not see how to fix step one, I don't remember what I was thinking, and I apologize.
