Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.
Other variations

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.
  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

Aspie and Paul, did you do it without guessing? I am stuck, I have both 14 across, 16 down and a 2 and 6 across the top, but can't figure out where to go next

Julia, try a chain. Put a number in a cell, follow through the implications, and if it doesn't work, press the 'Undo' button until you get back to the original number that you put in. Then delete that number as a possibility.

consider the 7's...
Neither A nor C can be 7 because 30D, 29D, and 39D need there 7's man!!!
free kakuro puzzles | online kakuro puzzles
yup, it's the 7's. the three 14A and the 16D create a shortage of 7's, so that's what to start looking at. 30D, 29D and 35D each require a 7; the supply is going to have to be from 32A, 28A and 22A. And puzzle solved ....

nada, but just because Aspie said it could be done. I also used the 7's.

Nada, thanks to me's tip about the 7's.
