Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

Dan plus one, level seven.

Dan and Don, yes, sure the +p solution comes from the interactions of 17A's and 13A, but it remains not immediately obvious to me that working all that out without +p is 'simple enough' to call it nada

Aspie (spoiler alert) - the 5,6,7 in 39-down are limited to 3 cells, having placed the 4 and leaving 8 & 9 to the only places they can be. It became clear that one of the 17s had a 7-4 and one a 6-5, as for both to be 6-5 would mean multiple solutions. But that means P cannot be a 7, which forces Q to be a 4. That forces H to be 4 and the rest is easy.

Dan, yes, I know that already. Question is whether a brain needs to fill in the possibilities, or not, to see it. I find it is too much specific juggling and zeroing in on the particular solution to be able to see all that with -p. Hence I say it is not a nada.

Nada. Unuque rule between both 17A forces 4 in 5D, then everything falls into place.
