Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

Orphans helpful on this one.

Nada, but with a reservation. I made the assumption that 32D = 98762. If so, X=6 & Y=1. Then it falls into place easily.

I kind of got the nada, after a lot of thought ....
split the puzzle into 6789 and the rest 12345. 21A and 37A contain 7 of the necessary 12345's. Two of which are in the first two of 11D. and the remaining five of 12345 spread one each in the rest of 21A and 37A up-down pairs. Which means the More...

Aspie; How do you know how many 6789's are required, and how many 12345's are necessary in order to split them?

21A gives five, and 37A gives two. 256789 or 346789. The rest of the puzzle, apart from 11D is composed entirely of 6789, all the other down lines are 6789 hungry (look at the solution for example).
