Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!
Very easy; beautiful sunrise.

After 5:30, I have one cell filled in and I am giving up. Either I'm totally missing something or this is, by a very large amount, the hardest 'easy' ever. [I do see how to make progress using the unique rule, but that's against my rules.]

AHA! Just found it --- after filling in E, it's easy to see that F=K, ruling out a possibility for F and making it possible to fill in 10A....but then I stall again....

What’s the unique rule?

I agree with Willo, and I ask the same question as Anne.

Using the unique rule means making use of the fact that you know the puzzle can have only one solution. I feel very strongly that using the unique rule is cheating, but others feel otherwise, and of course that's their right.

In this case the unique rule would have been very helpful in More...
